As the Yocova platform and community continues to grow and evolve, we’re always looking for new ways to enhance user experience and make it easier for our members to find and access the innovative solutions and services available on the platform. We’ve listened to feedback and the results of a survey we conducted and made some significant changes with our latest Release 48.
Under this new release we’ve introduced an Action Center to make it easier to manage any actions you need to take to keep your profile up to date and facilitate processes for buying or selling services and solutions on the Yocova Marketplace. We’ve also made some other smaller enhancements to enhance user experience. Read on to find out more!
A new Action Center to manage your account
Yocova members told us that they didn’t want to be inundated with too many notifications, but they didn’t want to miss out on important actions required by them. That’s why we’ve looked for a better model and created the new Action Center, which queues all essential actions required in a single space on your Yocova Profile.
Users can see if there are actions that need to be done if there is a red dot on the Workspace menu – or the Profile menu if using a mobile device.
How to access the Action Center?
You can now easily view and manage all actions required in just a few clicks on your mobile device. To access your Action Center, go to the Workspace section of your profile and you’ll see a new button in the top right of the account. Click on it and you’ll be taken directly to the Action Center where you can easily navigate to any actions you need to take. On desktop, click on Workspace menu and select Action Center instead.
What’s in the Action Center?
In the Action Center you can find all the actions required by you and can filter them by All or new Today. On the left-hand side, you can see the following sections, which will show the number of outstanding actions for each displayed:
- Applications
- Orders
- Suggestions (Buyer)
- Licence requests
- Other
By clicking on any of these you’ll be taken to a list of actions required under those sub-sections, from which you’ll be seamlessly directed to the Yocova page on which to perform the action.
Please note that the sections and actions you view and receive will depend on your profile and admin permissions.
The Action Center for vendors
If you’re a vendor, when you view your Action Center, under the Applications section, you’ll see all the applications you need to verify. You can also filter actions by All or easily view new actions for Today. In the Orders section, you’ll see all draft and paid orders you need to validate. In the Licence Request section, you can see any access requests you need to verify. The section called Other will include any other updates and requests that require you to take some action or verify.
The Action Center for buyers
If you’re a buyer, you’ll have an Action Center with sub-sections such as Applications, Orders, Licence Requests (only visible for User Admins) or Other for you to manage any actions you need to take. You’ll also see an additional section called Suggestions.
In the Application section, you can open any application from the list by selecting the ‘View Application’ button and you will be directed to the application to take the necessary action. You can then return to the Action Center and see that the action has been completed.
Marketplace Suggestions
When browsing Yocova’s extensive range of Partner solutions and services, if you find something you think would be a good fit for your enterprise, you can now select ‘Suggest purchase’. When you do, you’ll be asked to explain the reason for suggesting the purchase. Add a few words to explain this and then click ‘Suggest’.
If you are not a Buyer admin and you select ‘Suggest purchase’, the suggestion will appear in the Suggestions list for the Buyer admins for your enterprise to consider purchasing for your enterprise. You won’t be able to suggest a purchase for your enterprise if you are a ‘Buyer admin.
Managing licence requests
Users at your enterprise can choose to ‘Request access’ to solutions listed in your Enterprise catalogue that they currently don’t have access to. User admins for your enterprise can review these licence requests and choose whether or not to assign access to the user. This can now be managed via the Action Center.
A new layout to easily access actions, features and manage your profile
Please note that with the addition of the Action Center button, the Workspace section has a new layout. The Workspace menu to the right-hand side of the page is now in the following order:
- Action Center
- Explore Yocova features
- Manage
Other platform enhancements with Release 48
We have made some other enhancements in this latest release following feedback or to enhance user experience:
- Red Dot: The orange dot that displayed on the user menu when something is added to the cart has been replaced with a red dot, which shows that the cart has an item in it and that further action is required.
- Explore: We’ve added a three dot menu for solution tiles in the Explore section, which displays the actions available for that solution (based on admin permissions and access).
- Copy Entire Application Forms: In the content copy for applications, we’ve added in the ability to copy the entire content of an application form to paste elsewhere, whereas previously this was done section by section. So, if you need to send to someone else to process, you can quickly do so now.
- A new checklist for password reset: If you need to reset your password, we’ve added the full text of our password policy and improved the text to clarify the password criteria. We’ve added a handy checklist which will display green ticks when you have met each required section of your password. Note that you’ll be prompted to change your Yocova password every 90 days to meet security requirements.
We’re always on the lookout for ways to improve Yocova, so if you’ve got any feedback you’d like to share on this release or anything else about the platform, please email support@yocova.com
