The early days of 2020 were a busy, exciting time for the Yocova team. We had just launched after a year in beta test and were looking forward to ramping things up. In common with many in the aviation industry Covid-19 hit us hard – virtually overnight.
Our members, not surprisingly, became preoccupied with trying to understand the situation, when demand might return and the complex task of standing down entire fleets of aircraft and their staff. Our ecosystem of digital solution providers felt the rapid cooling in previously great relationships with airlines, communications dried up immediately and access to their contacts became virtually impossible, with staff working from home or indeed furloughed – all projects and new solutions were put on hold indefinitely.
