Amentum Scientific has listed its Cosmic Radiation API solution on the Yocova Marketplace, which models levels of cosmic ray induced ionised radiation in the atmosphere. It interfaces to the CAR17 model developed by the US Federal Aviation Administration to calculate cosmic radiation doses at a point in the atmosphere or along a great circle route between two airports accounting for a step climb. By automating the process of cosmic radiation assessments, Amentum helps its customers to avoid disruption to business operations, to satisfy regulatory requirements and mitigate the risk of radiation exposure, to ensure the health and wellbeing of aircrew.
